Detailed Itinerary

Guwahati Meet and greet on arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport - Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel. Later visit World famous Kamakhaya Temple. O/n Guwahati.

Guwahati – Dirang (ASSAM - ARUNACHAL PRADESH) After breakfast proceed for Dirang – The gateway to Arunachal (8-9 hrs approx.). Reach Dirang and check into the hotel. O/n Dirang.

Tawang After breakfast leave for Tawang (160 kms/8 hrs approx). Enroute visit Sella Pass and Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13,476 ft. Also visit Jaswant Ghar. Reach Tawang and check into the hotel. O/n Tawang.

Tawang After Breakfast visit China Border, Bumla pass & Madhuri Lake (complimentary) with the permission of DC of Tawang on the spot – visit is subject to permission. Also visit PTSO Lake. O/n Tawang. P. N - The vehicle available is local Sumo/ Tata Max.

The Famous Gaden Namgyal Lhatse, popularly known as Tawang Monastery was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in the year 1680-81. The monastery stands on the spur of a hill, about 10,000 feet above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and gradual slope on the east. It offers a commanding and picturesque view of the Tawang chu valley. From a distance it appears like a fort as if guarding the votaries in the wide valley below. Tawang monastery is the largest of its kind in the country and is one of the largest monasteries in Asia. This monastery is the fountain-head of the spiritual life of the people of this region. Also visit Urgelling Monastery - the birth place of Sixth Dalai Lama. Later visit Tawang War Memorial and evening at leisure. O/n Tawang.

Dirang After breakfast drive to Dirang (160 kms/8 hrs approx). Enroute visit Jung Falls & Dirang Monastery. Reach Dirang and Check into the hotel. O/n Dirang.

Kaziranga (ARUNACHAL PRADESH – ASSAM) After breakfast proceed to Kaziranga National Park (250 kms/8 hrs approx). Reach Kaziranga and check into hotel. O/n Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park - Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park’s waters. It’s visited by many rare migratory birds, and grey pelicans roost near Kaziranga village.

Kaziranga National Park (ASSAM) Today enjoy Kaziranga National Park on a Jeep OR Elephant ride (complimentary). Later visit Orchid Garden. Evening free to explore local surroundings. O/n Kaziranga.

Shillong (ASSAM – MEGHALAYA) After breakfast proceed to Shillong (325 kms/7 hrs approx). Enroute enjoy outer view of Umiam Lake. Reach Shillong and check into the hotel. Evening explore famous Police Bazaar by walk. O/n Shillong.

Shillong – Tamabila (Bangladesh Border) – Dawki River – Mawllynnong – Living Root Bridge – Shillong After breakfast excursion to Mwallynnong (100 kms/3 hrs approx). Back to Shillong by evening. O/n Shillong. Mawllynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90% literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & bay leaves, Broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of this Village and with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis

Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (MEGHALAYA) After breakfast proceed for Cherrapunjee (60 kms/2 hrs approx one way). En route visit famous Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit – Arwah Caves, Mawsmai Caves, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park and Nohkalikai Falls. Back to Shillong by evening. O/n Shillong. Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.

Final Departure After breakfast proceed for Guwahati for final departure. Enroute visit Don Bosco Museum in Shillong. Drop at Guwahati airport/railway station. The adventure ends.
